How to set up Windows Hello
Did you know what is Windows Hello and how to set up Windows Hello on your PC? Windows Hello is biometric authentication that allows you instant access to your Windows 10 devices. It only needs specialized hardware, including fingerprint reader, illuminated IR sensor or other biometric sensors. All you have to do is just show your face or login to your PC via fingerprint and it will unlock your PC in less than 2 seconds. Here in this article you will learn how to setup Windows Hello, just follow some simple steps as given below –
1. Click on Start Menu and launch Settings.
2. Select Accounts Tab.
3. From the left pane, select Sign-in options.
4. Now, first create a PIN.
5. You’ll see 2 options, either Fingerprint or Face. Click on Add button to add a fingerprint or set up button to set up facial recognition.
Note – If you have Windows Hello compatible hardware, only then you’ll see these options. If not, then a message appears, “Windows Hello isn’t available on this device”.
After completing this process, Windows will guide you how to setup fingerprint or face recognition. You just have to swipe your finger on the fingerprint sensor until it recognizes your full fingerprint. You can add more than one finger print very easily, just click on “Add Another” option to add another fingerprint.
After making all the changes, now you can easily sign into Windows using Windows Hello. On the lock screen window, swipe your finger across the fingerprint reader. For facial recognition, just sit in front of your computer and it will automatically recognize your face and sign in for you.
